I was trying to work out the cost of fresh flowers as centrepieces last night and lo and behold, look what I found this morning on Once Wed. I actually considered buying fresh flowers from a wholesaler market and making the centrepieces myself the night before the wedding but,this DIY is amazing and after the wedding, it can double up as decoration at home! I love it!

i wish you love

Prime was how I discovered Rachael Yamagata. Her chirpy voice singing "I Wish You Love" at the end of the movie (that's how I remember it anyway) and I've been a fan ever since. Her first album was amazing, filled with songs full of emotions that pulled at your heart strings.

She recently released a second album, Elephants... Teeth Sinking into Heart and I haven't had the chance to listen to it completely yet but I was checking out youtube to see if she had any new videos to go with the new album and I chanced upon this video, the same song except it's slower this time. You can pretty much figure the storyline from the video but I highly recommend watching the movie itself.

brothers bloom

We're off to watch the Brothers Bloom tonight. Honestly, I don't know much about this movie but according to the website, it is "a globetrotting comedy about the last great adventure of the world's best con men." And Rachel Weisz is in it - I think she's absolutely gorgeous and a great actress to boot! Can't wait for it now....

The wedding date's not fixed yet since we can't decide on our reception venue. It seems for the more popular places, time is running out on us if we don't get a move on but somehow, I still find myself concentrating on the other stuff like... the dress.

I'm loving these dresses - the soft look of the first dress, the vintage feel of the second dress and the elegance exude by the third dress. Need to decide....

Oh my gawd!

Valentine's Day has crept up upon us too quickly this year. We have never been one to go all out for it - joining the masses buying the bouquet of red delicious roses, love hearted choccies or the special V-day dinner. All very much overpriced just because it's V Day, in my honest opinion. But I'm loving this idea of baking home made brownies by Twig & Thistle since I'm good at making brownies (even if it's from a box!).

The first post is always the most awkward to write, me thinks. Where do you start, what do you say?? Well, I just got engaged to the love of my life and I'm excited. Yeah, pretty incredible huh?? Coz two years ago, getting hitched was never part of the plan. Now I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him and with that, comes the planning from scratch, not only for the wedding but also for our life together. The web has been a great source of inspiration and I'm hoping to share with you the things that make my heart soar, take my breath away or just sigh with love.
