Eschalot will always have a special place in my heart. When we first moved to Australia, this was where our parents used to take us for daytrips. Australia was so big and foreign and this lil town that existed just 2 hours drive (far enough for us!) from where we lived was like a little oasis for us. :) Funny how after so many years, the lil country town has not changed very much and the best thing is, their pretty fine restaurant with amazing food has stood the test of time! And it's my parent's favourite place to go to for special occasions so it was a no brainer when deciding where to take my parents for their birthdays.
