I love Karla's sense of style. The weather is warming up around here and I can't wait to sport a look like that. So cool!

It was such a promising start to the week until today. There was sunshine and most importantly, there was warmth. But the weather forecast for the rest of the week now is rain, rain and more rain!! I am actually looking forward to this weekend! We have a friend's housewarming party and I've just started running to keep fit so please please, rain, come now, do your deed and be gone, please, by the weekend.

quick update
So I'm just going to pretend like I'm not been away for so many months. Somehow, I don't think I'm very good at balancing work and life. Life's been so busy since I started my new job and even though I've missed penning down my thoughts and our adventures here, I never seem to be able to find the time. Bah! The hubs and I have had a great time the last couple of months. A lil of this and that that has been happening:
As you all know, I found a job pretty much as soon as we got back from the UK. It's going great!! You know, that sorta great all jobs usually are. :P But there is this fantastic patch of grass about 10 mins walk away with this amazing view and the weather is warming up for spring now so perfect lunch spot, here I come!
Cherry moved out! Oh gosh, I turned into a cleaning nazi during this time. We must have scrubbed every corner of the apartment twice and I can't believe the amount of stuff we accumulated during that time too!! At least all that is out of the way now and we're now into the decorating phase. The apartment is coming around nicely now. It went from above (don't mind me in the picture but look at that mess!) - you can't see it but there is also a set of drawers right opposite the foot of the bed so there was hardly any room to move. I don't know how we lived like this all this time!
And now it's this! Awesome isn't it? You can't see it again but I'll get a better shot sometime soon. We've gotten rid of the clothing rack, moved the desk into our second bedroom, which we've turned into a study and the set of drawers that used to be at the bottom of the bed is now where the desk is. There is soooo much space everywhere now! I wanted to cover those dark purple wall we have in brilliant white but it looks like that is not happening now so I'm thinking of maybe getting a massive painting and hanging it there instead. We'll just have to see what happens. Eeek!!
After 13 years and 4 months with us, we let Dingo go. I don't know what happened but he started suffering from epilectic fits and seizures and it has been painful to see him degenerate like that. He could hardly stand up towards the end, wasn't himself anymore and at one time had 16 valiums in his system to stop his seizures. We tried to wean the valiums off him but then at the very end, the seizures started and wouldn't stop! I'm already missing him so much!
On to a happier note, I celebrated turning (yikes, should I even say my age?!) another year older. My family's never been big on birthdays and I never like celebrating it anyway. Sweet hubs still wanted to make a day out of it so he cooked me ceviche (I didn't know it was so easy to make!) and quail, which has to be the best birthday meal ever!
And to top it off, I got a Tiffany's love bracelet from him too! I have the best hubs in the world!
