For all you know, we could have gotten sick of having him around and handed him back to the rescue centre. ;) Of course not, silly! He's still around! We're not heartless like that.
Anyway, I thought I would write up an update on how things are going with Max in our life. Gosh, before I gush away, let me get the bad things out of the way. I did not realised how much his hair he would shed. I complained about the dust getting everywhere when we were sanding our doors. This is worst because it is every day! Wow! And his poo stinks big time! That's it. It's not too bad, is it?
I have to admit that he is probably the best thing in our lives at the moment and we love him unconditionally. It's so great to see him coming out of his shell every single day and just be more confident and at ease around us. A lil reminiscing - Max was so scared and timid when we first brought him home. His foster carers reckons that it's possible that he's been abused by his previous owners because he eyes you nervously and flinches whenever you try to pet him. He also hides away in a corner every single time and do not want to come out at all.
We've had him for just over five months now and he's a sprightly lil thing. He loves to play and is really the perfect cat for us. Very undemanding and quite happy to hang out on his own and come by whenever he wants some attention. Being a dog owner for most of my growing years, I've been accustomed to very affectionate pets but it looks like Max is not that sort pet. He tolerates short burst of affection but I think it gets a lil too overwhelming for him and thus, he'll try to escape by any means possible.
Back in March when Ryan and I went away for a few weeks, we sent him home to our parents and they fell head over heels in love with him. Mum was gushing about him even while we were away wanting to go on Skype to show that he's leapt onto her lap and everything! They didn't want to give him back when we got home too and his holiday there got extended by another 2 weeks.
We finally got him back during Easter and he's resettled back into our lives like a glove!

awww he's so gorgeous! and sound like such a darling!
