I mentioned in my last post that we were down in Melbourne last month for a short getaway with the hubby and it was fabulous! We stayed in Melbourne for 2 nights after our Great Ocean roadtrip and had another fantastic meal in town at Hare & Grace. It was our first time tasting a molecular gastronomy meal and it was an interesting experience. To be honest with you, because it happened a few months back, I don't remember what most of the courses were. Not only that, we booked the degustation and it was a surprise menu so we didn't know what we were having until it was placed in front of us and we didn't even get a copy of the menu later so I can't even refer to that!

What I do remember was having fun with our first dish pretending like we were going to snort cocaine! The greasy fried chicken with lemon squirt was amazeballs and our waiter was the friendliest person, engaging us in conversations between meals and making sure we were happy with everything. It was definitely the perfect place for an anniversary dinner!

  1. I've never eaten at a molecular gastronomy place, but I so want to (if I can afford the price tag hhehe). These dishes are so creative and beautiful!
