We finally went parasailing in Manly! I thought it was never going to happen! Mr R stumbled in at about four in the morning after a night out and I wondered how he was going to survive our parasailing adventure today. But he did, amazingly!!! I suggested postponing it yet again but the expiry date on our giftcard was drawing near and our schedules were filled to the brim for the next few weeks so we had no choice but to forge ahead with the parasailing session.
I myself stayed up late studying so both of us were bleary eyed and craving for sleep. Such a contrast to how we were feeling though because outside, it was such a beautiful day – the typical Sydney weather that we all love! Thank goodness we felt much better once we got ourselves outside into the sun and onto the ferry. There were so many people out enjoying the sun that we couldn’t help but feel excited for our parasailing session in Manly! Not only that, I can’t wait till my exams are finished so we can head out more to soak up the sunshine!! Better still, it will be summer then!!
I have never been to Manly Beach. I know – *shock horror* The place kinda reminded me of the Gold Coast. It is beautiful with pine trees lining the roads and with the glorious sun shining on a beautiful day, it is a picturesque sight. And then, you add in the fact that we are about head out in the water in a parasail! We did it with Manly Parasail and they were famtastic. I was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing as you would with something you’ve never attempted before but they ran though the safety procedures, what to expect, what to do and at the end of it, reminded us to enjoy the experience! The whole setup was done very quickly and once we were up in the air, it was very relaxing and the view was breathtaking.
We weren’t up in the parasail for very long, maybe 10 minutes but the whole experience took about 1.5 hours. We spent the rest of the time walking along Manly Beach, slurping on ice creams before catching the ferry back home again. Such a great day!
