Commonwealth was where we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. You know, the registry wedding one. Albeit a bit late. We booked it in before we left just because we knew that we were going to have trouble finding good places to eat because of Christmas. And it was perfect! It looked like a hole in a wall place on the outside and it’s actually quite tiny but very cosy on the inside. Ohh, and warm!! Very important for me since it was cold in the SF winter. 🙂
I found the food at Commonwealth really creative. The combination of ingredients on paper sounds like it might not work but it works. They also gave us a glass of champagne each to commemorate the occasion too which I thought was really sweet.
I’ve never ever filled in those special request boxes but I did this time and forgot all about it, so having them acknowledged it made the experience all the more wonderful. And we were so wrongly dressed for the occasion, the both of us in our backpacking outfits since they were the only ones that gave us any warmth!
Because of all that though ie. finishing up our backpacking honeymoon in SF dressed as backpackers in a nice restaurant drinking wine and celebrating our one year registry wedding anniversary – it made the whole experience really memorable for us.
